World Book Day 2026 📚 Another successful World Book Day @ Granlahan NS again this year! Our pupils engaged in the much loved Buddy Reading activity. With their buddies, they also researched the author of their favourite book and learned some facts about them as well as other books they have wrote. Our pupils will engage in a series of movement breaks each day in their classrooms provided by Active Schools Ireland, all the while learning fun facts & information about Croke Park.

Our senior classes were very lucky to be chosen to study boglands through the Re-Peat initiative. One part of the study was to visit Galway's Living Bog in Mountbellew. Our tour guide was fantastic and the pupils learned lots of geography, science and history. We even made a well deserved pitstop at The Bus Stop Cafe for some yummy treats before heading home!
